As I look at what the world has become I often wonder what I can do to change. I intend to change it to what God wants it to be. By bringing the kingdom down to earth, it will be so much different. Everyone would be nicer and more polite. There wouldn’t be bullies and everyone would be friends. My plan to do this is just to live like Jesus did. By doing this people will notice something is different about me from the rest of the world. By not giving into earthly things people will be wondering why and that gives opportunity to spread the gospel. “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15) I hope I work hard enough to rise into a position of power so that I can spread the gospel to many more people than just the ones I happen to run into. “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!” (Jame 3:1-18) This verse tells me that even if everyone is trying to live for Christ it doesn’t matter if we don’t do his will. We are weak in the flesh and can be very tempted easily. If you aren’t called to say starting a conference, you shouldn’t. For the kingdom to come down to earth we need to do his will and not our own. Every human is born with the idea to do our own will, and not anyone God’s plan. It takes spending one on one time with him to want to do what he wants you to do. As you’re spending time with him he begins to change your heart and mind to become more like him without even realizing it.It’s crazy what he can do in such a short amount of time if you just dive into the word for 15 min a day. It’s crazy what you can do if you just do it with God instead of doing it by yourself. The main goal is to try and change the world by introducing the gospel. The world will be a much better place if everyone is living for christ and actively pursuing him.
